The Asian CARES (Center for addressing research, education, and services) report documents the key findings and recommendations from a two-year community engaged research project that looked at underlying reasons some individuals and their families struggle with problem gambling. The findings illuminate the systemic issues at play: financial hardship, social, cultural and linguistic isolation.
The Asian CARES team presented their findings in October 2021 to the community and to the Massachusetts Gambling Commission in 2022. They also reported the findings at other academic and practitioner conferences including the annual ADAPT Asian Health Symposium and the National Conference on Problem Gambling.
